An autobiography is a book about a person's life, written by the person themselves. A biography is when you write a book about someone else's life.
Many different types of people chose to write an autobiography. Most autobiographies are written by famous people. Sports stars, Actors, celebrities, or politicians people who know readers will buy their book because they are interested in reading about their life. There are autobiographies by non famous people who have an inspirational story to tell, or someone who has overcome a terrible hardship or experience may choose to write about their life.
