Self help books are written to help the reader with a particular problem. Self help books are there to guide with aspects of life and encourage self improvement and personal growth. Self help books can guide you through tricky situations in life such as relationships or family problems, or they help you improve your life such as career advice and assertiveness. Or they could be guiding you through a health related issue - whatever you need there will be a book to help you. Here are some self help books we think are very useful.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, by Susan Jeffers

This is a self help classic, one that has mad a difference to many lives. This self help book has been in bookshops since 1987 and is a bestseller. This book is all about facing your fears and not letting fear stop you from achieving greatness in life.

The F-Factor Diet

There are a lot of self help diet books. This was published in 2006 but is still very popular. The F stands for Fibre and the idea is that you don't eliminate any foods, but introduce high fibre foods, such as fruit, vegetable, grains and high fibre cereals.

He's Just Not That Into You - The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys
by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo

This rather modern relationship self help book is based on an episode of Sex in the City. Basically this is a no nonsense book about understanding men and being able to recognize if a man is not really that into you. This will help you stop wasting time with guys who don't really care about the relationship and move on. AT first you might think it's a bit harsh, but if you take the time to finish the book it all starts to make sense, Why didn't he call? , Why didn't he reply to my text? , - he's just not that into you sto wasting your time!
